I am a single mother of three sons whom has all put me through the mill! My oldest is 27, 23 and my baby will be 21 in Oct. Hi,
Up until this past Sunday, I never even knew who Plies was. However, I did recall the song you did with Ne Yo a few years ago. I have enjoyed watching several of your videos on Youtube. Your songs, " A Hundred Years" and "Driving My Momma Crazy" are the two I liked the most. Of course, I also like the Mister Rogers beginning to "Rob Myself." I have always been a fan of Mister Rogers. My main reason for writing is, I was just watching the webisode video you and your brother did which is posted on youtube.com. It was great to know that the both of you have a foundation that helps incarcerated people. I am in my early 40s, and I was truly glad to hear that both you and your brother are still concerned for those who are currently incarcerated, and that you try to help them. In the year 2000, I had a lil' Prison Outreach Ministry that I ran from my home, and I reached out to men and women who were incarcerated. Some were wrongly convicted, some were on death row, some had dreams and goals beyond prisons, and some just wanted someone to write to. I did whatever I could to help them. In fact, I currently have a penpal out of NY who has been in prison for about 15 years, and he has dreams of writing movie scripts and books. I read and typed up some of his scripts, and I must say that he does have story telling talent. Since I am a writer (though not published), I have helped him by putting him in touch with someone who edits movie scripts. I am hopeful that his hopes and goals will come to pass once he is released. A few of the penpals I had over the years have been fortunate enough to be released. They made all sorts of promises to keep in touch, but sadly none of them have. I still think about them, pray for them and just wish them well. Still, I feel it is a blessing to be a blessing.
