“Under My Wing”
It’s ya big homie Plies, I am starting a new program, entitled “Under My Wing” where I will be selecting one male between the ages of 8 -18 to be my little brother. In our community so many young men are at risk of dropping out of school, getting involved in the streets and losing their way. I want to personally reach out and become a Big Brother to a young man in need. I will be someone they can talk to, turn to for advice, who will listen and be there to help them navigate through life. I am hoping that having me as a mentor and Big Brother will help encourage them to make positive choices in their life.
If you feel like you can benefit from being my little brother or you are a parent, with a child at risk, that you feel can benefit from becoming my little brother, send me a letter, explaining why, to the address noted below. I will be personally reviewing all entries and selecting my lil homie.

I am so happy that u decided to work with little boys because they need that love and attention from a man. I myself have an 11yr old son and his dad is a juvie parole officer and he dont spend time with him and he is aware of the risk, yet he doesnt acknowledge our son since the divorce. Its had hard when u a single women trying to raise a productive young men. I am really interested and starting my own non profit org where i can work with as risk kids because that is truly my passion. I am meeting with the Director of the james jordan boys and girls club to see if I can get a teen workshop or support group for young girls to promote self esteem. Hopefully every thing will go in the right direction. Keeping doing what u doing because it is inspiring. I am praying your sucess u deserve it. all 3 of my brother are locked up and I am trying to stay focused.

Whats good plies and plies fans i think plies doin this would be a very great thing and this is why plies can’t find nobody hotter them him. I wish i could join this contest i am 18 i dropped out of school last year and headed for the streets and i felt like the man until i got caught up with the cops but they let me go they only found half a 0 on me then after that i just started moving Oz and my mom found out about it she found some money and she found my stash and she kicked me out so i just went on with my life keep doin wat i was doin until i relized i needed my mom so i stopd wat i was doin and i kinda got back in school and im just tryna get back on the right track. I generally do not attemt to get in touch with a celebrity, however, I was so moved by what I have been reading I just had to know how a seemingly “good man” would promote being a goon? Is is not enough that a lot of our young black men are in prisons around the country that you have to refere to yourself as a goon, which by the way means, hired hoodlum or thug, stupid, foolish, or an akward person. I do understand that a certain persona has to be given in order to get the “respect” as a rapper… but a Goon? Come on brotha your outreach program is great but I would hardly allow let alone stand for a male child in my family be associated with one who believes that “stupidity” is an honorable feature. I would like to think that the “real” you doesn’t feed into the hype, but if so do your thing, just don’t take future generations of our young men down with you.

Just wanted to drop a few lines to my family…1st of all Mr.Plies aka NARD! I know you on a personal and I want you to always remember(EVEN JESUS HAD HATERS) so when folks come at you with what they think based upon what it seems…(KEEP DOING YOU)!
I myself understand that the music industry is for ENTERTAINMENT purpose ONLY and it’s my job to teach my child right from wrong that way he can listen to your music and still be an individual ! I feel if someone child follows what an artist says in his music the parent has done something wrong or just not doing they job! I really think allot of folks read to deep into HIP-HIP music..I say that to say this(AGAIN) if Jesus didnt say it then it’s not that serious….Plies you gotta eat and I’m not mad at you….
